The inbox

Updated

The inbox brings together the replies to your workspace's campaigns: LinkedIn and e-mail side by side, from every user's connected accounts, with the latest activity on top. It's under Inbox in the menu on the left.

What's in it

Only conversations with candidates in the workspace's campaigns. Anything else your accounts receive is discarded unread, so your private messages never reach Navigent.

Everyone with access to the workspace can see the inbox. The Mine filter narrows it to conversations on your own accounts.

Find what you need

Filter by unread, interested, not interested, auto-reply or Needs action, by campaign, by sender account, or by Mine.

The labels

Every incoming message gets a label: interested, not interested or auto-reply. The label only sorts the inbox. It never stops a sequence and never removes anyone.

If a label is wrong, correct it with one click.

Reply to a candidate

  1. Open the conversation.
  2. Write your reply.
  3. Send it. It goes out from the account the conversation is on, and stays in the conversation.

What a reply does to the sequence

  • A reply stops the sequence. When a candidate replies, the rest of their sequence stops at once, and the conversation shows it.
  • An auto-reply doesn't. An out-of-office message isn't the person answering.
  • An opt-out always does. If a candidate asks not to be contacted, they're added to your do-not-contact list automatically and the sequence stops. Navigent spots opt-outs with a check of its own, whatever label the message got.

Needs action

This is where everything waiting for a person collects:

  • a message that wasn't sent because a variable would have been empty
  • an AI sentence that couldn't be filled in
  • a note that came out over 200 characters
  • an account that needs reconnecting
  • an e-mail step waiting because your organization's e-mail addresses are used up

Each item says what's missing, so you can put it right.

Hearing about new replies

When a candidate replies and the reply is labelled interested, the owner of the sender account and whoever created the campaign get an e-mail about it. New replies also appear in the notifications in the app. You can turn that e-mail off, and turn on a daily summary at 8:00, under Settings > Notifications.

Good to know

  • No open or click tracking. The inbox shows replies, not opens.
  • If you disconnect an account, its messages stay in the inbox.
  • Conversations are deleted with the candidate, under the rules in Data and deletion.
