Navigent vs LinkedIn Recruiter and Recruiter Lite
LinkedIn Recruiter is the tool most recruiters know. Navigent starts somewhere else: with the job ad, not with a search you build yourself. Here's how they differ on price, search, outreach and data, what each does well, and when it makes sense to use both.
The details about LinkedIn were last checked on 30 September 2026. Sources are listed at the end.
What LinkedIn Recruiter is
LinkedIn has more than 1.3 billion members, and about 3.8 million in Denmark at the end of 2025, according to DataReportal. Recruiter is LinkedIn's own tool for searching that network and messaging the people in it. Two versions matter here:
- Recruiter Lite is meant, in LinkedIn's words, for individuals, self-employed recruiters and small businesses that hire a few people a year. You get 30 InMails a month, more than 20 filters and Boolean search, and you can see and contact people within your first, second and third-degree network. Up to five users can share projects. There are no AI features, no bulk messaging or automatic follow-ups, and no ATS integration.
- Recruiter opens the whole network, more than 40 filters including "Open to Work", and 150 InMails a month per seat. ATS integration is included. There's AI search, though the advanced version requires English language settings, and Hiring Assistant, LinkedIn's AI agent, is a paid add-on that works in seven languages, not Danish. Recruiter's interface isn't available in Danish either.
What LinkedIn does well: the profiles are the members' own, written and kept up by the people themselves, with their skills, education and languages. InMail reaches people you aren't connected to, and candidates can signal that they're open to offers to recruiters only.
What Navigent is
In Navigent, you start with a role. You paste the job ad, and Navigent reads the requirements and sets filters you can remove. The preview is free. One search fetches about 1,000 unique candidates from a database of more than 305 million professional profiles, about 1 million of them Danish LinkedIn profiles. The best 200 or so make the longlist, and up to about 50 recommended are assessed requirement by requirement, with evidence from the jobs each assessment rests on. You decide, and only people you've said yes to are contacted. Navigent is in early access and opens soon.
Price
- Recruiter Lite: LinkedIn doesn't show the price without a login, but offers a free trial. You can pay monthly or yearly, and paying yearly saves up to 20%. Third-party sources put it at about USD 170 a month, or USD 1,680 a year, for one seat (100Hires, July 2026, and Pin, May 2026).
- Recruiter: LinkedIn says the price depends on your organisation's needs, such as the number of seats. Third-party estimates run from about USD 8,000 to 15,000 per seat per year (Vendr, February 2026, and Pin, May 2026).
- Navigent: Basis DKK 1,499 and Pro DKK 3,749 per user per month, excluding VAT, with 10 and 30 searches shared across the organisation. Extra searches are DKK 199 each. Navigent opens soon: 14 days free with 2 searches and 50 email addresses when we open. Get early access at navigent.io.
How you search
LinkedIn: You build the search yourself with filters and Boolean, and Recruiter and Recruiter Lite put no limit on the number of operators. You open the profiles and judge them, and in Recruiter, AI search can help you phrase the query.
Navigent: You don't write a search string. Navigent sets filters with Danish and English title variants, and widens the search by itself if the market is small. Function, seniority, location and years only exclude with a tolerance, and missing data never excludes anyone. Three candidates at a time calibrate the ranking, and every assessment is written in Danish or English. Languages, education and skills aren't in search data. They're marked "To clarify" and checked on the LinkedIn profile once the candidate is on the shortlist, or with Navigent's Chrome extension.
How you contact candidates
LinkedIn: InMail is LinkedIn's own channel. You get the credit back if the candidate replies, accepts or declines within 90 days. Recruiter can message many people at once and follow up; Recruiter Lite can't.
Navigent: Campaigns send from your own LinkedIn account: an invitation without a note by default, a message after acceptance and follow-ups, with email from your own Gmail or Outlook as the fallback. Every message can be read before it's sent, a reply stops the sequence, and there's no open or click tracking. Limits start at 15 invitations a week. A free LinkedIn account works, though a paid one is recommended. LinkedIn's rules don't allow tools that automate activity, and the risk to the account is yours. More in LinkedIn limits for recruiters.
Data and GDPR
LinkedIn: The profiles live on LinkedIn, and members decide what they show.
Navigent: You're the data controller and Navigent is the processor. Candidates who aren't on a shortlist for an active role are deleted 90 days after they were last fetched, and roles, assessments and decisions are never shared with other customers.
Either way, it's your recruitment. When you contact someone who hasn't applied, you owe them the information in Article 14 of the GDPR, at the latest in your first message.

Who each is for
Recruiter Lite suits the individual recruiter who searches by hand and hires a few people a year. Recruiter suits teams with many roles who need the whole network, InMail at volume and ATS integration. Navigent suits white-collar, specialist and management roles in Denmark, when you want to go from a Danish job ad to a ranked longlist with evidence, and outreach from your own account, without writing search strings.
When to use both
They'll work well together once Navigent opens. Use Navigent to get from the job ad to a shortlist. Then open the candidates on LinkedIn to check what's still to clarify, and use InMail for people you aren't connected to and want to reach without an invitation. If you have Recruiter, "Open to Work" can show you who on your shortlist is open to offers.
