Navigent vs the Jobindex CV database
The Jobindex CV database and Navigent both help you find candidates in Denmark, but they find different people. The CV database holds people who asked to be contacted. Navigent also finds the ones who aren't looking, starting from your job ad. Here's how they compare, and when to use both.
The details about Jobindex were last checked on 30 September 2026. Sources are listed at the end.
What the Jobindex CV database is
Jobindex calls itself Denmark's largest job portal, with more than 30,000 job ads and about a million users a month. Its CV database gives access to more than 445,000 searchable candidates: people who created a profile so that employers could contact them about relevant jobs. The profile doubles as their CV.
Candidates control what employers see: about 44% hide one or more details, and email addresses are always hidden. Jobindex says 83% updated their CV during the year. Since July 2026 Jobindex has counted searchable candidates; before, it counted CVs, about 190,000 in May 2026, so older figures aren't comparable.
What Navigent is
In Navigent, you start with a role. You paste the job ad, and Navigent reads the requirements. One search fetches about 1,000 unique candidates from a database of more than 305 million professional profiles, about 1 million of them Danish LinkedIn profiles, each linked to the person's LinkedIn profile. The best 200 or so make the longlist, and up to about 50 recommended are assessed requirement by requirement, with evidence. You decide, and only people you've said yes to are contacted. Navigent is in early access and opens soon.
Who you find
The biggest difference: someone in the CV database has agreed to be contacted and expects it. Navigent finds professionals whether or not they're job hunting, including passive candidates who never asked to hear from you. That makes the first message count for more, and you have to tell the candidate where you got their details.
Price
Jobindex (excluding VAT, indexed every 1 January):
- Employers: access is free. If a contact leads to a hire, you pay DKK 3,085. With a Profilannonce, Jobindex's standard job ad at DKK 3,085 for four weeks, you can contact and hire through the database for the advertised role.
- Staffing and recruitment agencies: DKK 105 per candidate you contact directly, plus DKK 3,085 on a hire. Fixed-price agreements aren't published.
Navigent (excluding VAT): Basis DKK 1,499 and Pro DKK 3,749 per user per month, with 10 and 30 searches shared across the organisation. Extra searches are DKK 199 each. Navigent opens soon: 14 days free with 2 searches and 50 email addresses when we open. Get early access at navigent.io.
An agency that contacts 40 candidates for one role through the CV database pays DKK 4,200, and DKK 3,085 more on a hire. A search on Basis costs about DKK 150 when all 10 are used, and campaigns are part of the subscription.
How you search
Jobindex: You search yourself by job title, location, experience, education, salary expectation and keywords, and you can filter on education level, years of experience, management experience and salary range. Filter on a field and candidates who left it blank drop out. The keyword field accepts brackets, a plus sign and the * wildcard. A CV agent alerts you to new candidates, and with Jobindex's Match product, consultants pick profiles for you.
Navigent: You don't write a search string. Navigent sets filters with Danish and English title variants. Function, seniority, location and years only exclude with a tolerance, and missing data never excludes anyone. Every assessment cites the jobs it rests on. Languages, education and skills aren't in search data. They're marked "To clarify" and checked on the LinkedIn profile once the candidate is on the shortlist, or with Navigent's Chrome extension.
How you contact candidates
Jobindex: Messages go through Jobindex, to several candidates at once if needed. The candidate decides whether to answer, and you can see whether your message was read. Their email address is shared with you only once they accept, and for up to 90 days. Contacts must be about real, specific jobs, and Jobindex can read the messages.
Navigent: Campaigns send from your own LinkedIn account, with an invitation without a note by default, a message after acceptance and follow-ups, and email from your own Gmail or Outlook as the fallback. Replies land in one inbox, a reply stops the sequence, and every message can be read before it's sent. There's no open or click tracking.
Data and GDPR
Jobindex is the data controller for job seekers' data, and your company is an independent controller for what it takes from the database. No data processing agreement is needed. If you copy or download a CV, you must tell the candidate yourself.
Navigent: You're the controller and Navigent is the processor. Candidates who aren't on a shortlist for an active role are deleted 90 days after they were last fetched. Roles, assessments and decisions are never shared with other customers. Anyone can ask to be removed from Navigent on the "Remove me from Navigent" page. A confirmed removal applies across all customers, and the person is never fetched, assessed or contacted again.

Who each is for
The Jobindex CV database suits roles with plenty of active job seekers, when you want people who've asked to be contacted, and when education or salary expectations need to be a filter. It also covers hourly and hands-on jobs, which Navigent doesn't.
Navigent suits white-collar, specialist and management roles, where the right person often isn't looking, and when you want to go from a job ad to a ranked longlist with evidence without writing search strings.
When to use both
Post the role on Jobindex and use the CV database for people who are looking. Once Navigent opens, run the same job ad through it to find the ones who aren't. If the same person turns up in both, keep one conversation. And if a candidate says no, put them on your do-not-contact list so nobody writes to them again through the other channel.
Once Navigent opens, you can see which requirements a search can use in your job ad with the free Requirements profile tool. Get early access at navigent.io.
