The List view: tabs, filters and bulk actions
The thread tells you what's happening in a role. The List view shows every candidate in it at once, so you can sort, filter and decide for many at a time. Switch from the thread to the list at the top of the role.
The tabs
- Recommended is where the list opens: the genuinely relevant at the top of the longlist, up to about 50.
- Longlist: about 200 of the best. The recommended ones are marked Recommended.
- Shortlist: only the candidates you've said yes to. Once a campaign is running, you also see how far each one has got.
- Rejected: the ones you've said no to.
Two more tabs sit in the menu beside them:
- Pool: fetched candidates who didn't make the longlist.
- Excluded: the ones a gate ruled out, each with the reason. If you disagree, press Include anyway. The candidate moves to the longlist, the gates never exclude them again, and they're assessed when you open them.
Each tab shows the same count as the Talent pool for the same word. In Recommended and Longlist, a decided candidate stays put with the decision shown, so the counts don't shrink as you work. Undecided candidates come first, in rank order.
Find the right people
- Sort by rank, the default, distance, current tenure or total experience.
- Filter by band, city or signal, or type in the text filter to search names, titles and employers.
- Click a city on the map in the right-hand panel to filter by it.
Each row shows the candidate's band, up to two signals and where the requirements stand, for example "4 met · 1 missing · 2 to clarify". A decided row carries the initials of whoever decided, and if colleagues have written notes, it shows how many.
Click a row to open the review card. The queue follows the tab as it's sorted and filtered, and from here you can give a reason when you say no. See Review candidates.
Decide for many at once
- Tick the candidates. Shift-click selects a range, or select everyone in the tab.
- Choose To shortlist, Reject or Back to review.
Back to review makes a candidate undecided again. Each candidate is logged on their own, and approving 50 at once is still your decision.
On the Shortlist tab, Add to campaign puts one or many candidates in a campaign's queue. See Campaigns.
Review 50 more
When you're through the recommended, press Review 50 more to have the next 50 assessed in rank order, from the longlist first and then the pool. It's free, and you can keep going for as long as there are candidates.
Fetch about 1,000 more
When fewer than 50 unreviewed candidates are left in the longlist and pool, Navigent offers to Fetch about 1,000 more. It's also always in the role's menu.
- Choose Fetch about 1,000 more.
- Read the confirmation, for example "This uses 1 more search on Senior controller. You have 7 left."
- Confirm. One search is used.
The new run picks up where the last one stopped, skips anyone the role already holds and ranks into the same role.
Export
Export CSV on the Longlist and Shortlist tabs gives you the tab's rows as a file. See Export.
Good to know
- You can change any decision later from the row's menu or the review card.
- An empty tab tells you why it's empty and what to do next.
- On a phone, the list shows candidates as cards, without bulk actions.
