Getting started with Navigent
Navigent turns a job ad into a shortlist you've approved, and then contacts those candidates for you. You paste the ad, Navigent finds and ranks the candidates, and you say yes or no. Nobody is contacted until you've said yes.
Create your account
- Sign in at app.navigent.io with Google or with a link sent to your e-mail. There's no password.
- Pick what describes you best, and choose Danish or English.
- Name your organization, and accept the terms and the data processing agreement on its behalf.
- Choose a plan, monthly or annual billing and the number of seats, then add your company details and a payment card.
The trial lasts 14 days and comes with 2 searches and 50 e-mail addresses. Nothing is charged until it ends. If you're an agency recruiter, Navigent also asks you to put the clients whose people you mustn't approach on your do-not-contact list.
The Get started checklist
Open the four-item checklist from Get started near the top of the sidebar. Its progress shows how many are complete. During the trial, the top of the checklist tells you how many days, searches and e-mail addresses you have left.
- Connect LinkedIn. Campaigns send from your own LinkedIn account. See Connect your LinkedIn account.
- Connect your e-mail. Gmail or Outlook, for the e-mail steps in campaigns. See Connect Gmail or Outlook.
- Paste your first job ad. Opens a new role. See Create a role and start the search.
- Start your first search. Opens your newest draft. It's ticked once the search has finished.
Each item ticks itself once it's done. Do them in any order, and search straight away if you like: searching never waits for your accounts. The checklist closes once all four are done, or when you press Hide. To bring it back, choose Get started under Help.
From job ad to shortlist
- Paste the ad. Navigent reads the requirements, sets the filters and shows a free preview of the market.
- Start the search. One search fetches about 1,000 unique candidates.
- Calibrate. Say yes or no to three candidates at a time, so the ranking lands where you want it.
- Review the recommended. Up to about 50 genuinely relevant candidates, each with evidence for every requirement. Yes puts a candidate on the shortlist.
- Contact the shortlist. A campaign writes from your own LinkedIn and e-mail, and replies land in the inbox.
If you leave while a search is working, you'll get an e-mail when the recommended candidates are ready to review.
Invite your team
Owners and admins invite colleagues under Settings > Members, up to the seats you've bought. Each colleague gets their own checklist, because each user connects their own accounts. See Team and seats.
Where to get help
The organization circle at the bottom left opens the account menu. Help opens the support panel with answers from the help center and a way to contact us, and Book a walkthrough, if you'd like someone to show you Navigent. You can also press ⌘K and type help. If you're stuck, write to info@navigent.io, and check service status at status.navigent.io.
Good to know
- The owner gets an e-mail 3 days before the trial ends.
- If you use both searches early, you can start the paid plan straight away. That ends the trial.
- Change language and theme under Settings > Language and theme. Navigent starts in its light theme. You can choose dark or explicitly follow your operating system.
